Pampering Myself

I wished for that MAC palette for soooo long like OMG its my fave thing in the entire world. I had the best day with my mom and she was soooo sweet, she arranged brunch, movie, massage, dinner and I got this custom pallette on top of that. Perfect day 4 sure! I can def recommend doing that with your mom, like 4 realz.

Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2014 - Hair & Details

No I'm not cool enough to go to fashionweek anywhere, not even in Copenhagen, not now, not ever. But I found this picture on tumblr from the Dolce & Gabbana S/S14 collection. I love the hair and the flowers and the colour and the gold and omg I wish I could do this with my hair. Maybe I'll try somehow..? I don't really know how I'd go about this but look how amazing it looks, ugh! And just people that can pull off haircolours like purple and blue are superhumans and it is unfair to the rest of us!

Asian Facination

I'm not saying it's not great being white. Let's face it, it's fucking easy being scandinavian in this day and age and it pretty much always has been, so I'm not gonna complain about being scandinavian at all, not in herritage nor in apperance, BUT I have to admit I think so many asian people are so gorgeous and just facinating. Even Alexa Chung has a bit of an asian background. Being on tumblr, some of the people I find the most fashionable or visually interesting are of asian herritage and I am so jealous that I can't look like them! One thing I've thought about lately is how I would never want to be "perfect looking", you know, the kinda girl all guys want (read Kate Upton), but how I'd much rather be interesting visually, something only certain people find beautiful. Now I'm not saying I don't think asian girls can be goregeous, not at all! I'm just saying that I find their features so much more interesting than the typical scandinavian ones. The point of thise whole rambling? I have no idea, I guess I just needed to get it off my chest.. Maybe something to think about x

Cry Me a River

No I was not really crying, BUT I did make my mom scream when she saw me so it's all good. I got the idea for these pictures saturday night around 2am and wrote it down so that I'd remember it so yesterday I woke up and when I had finished my breakfast I had the house to myself so I started playing around with my makeup and taking pictures. I took about 100 pictures and there were a few that I really really liked. Here are some of my personal faves. Somehow I was really digging the makeup, it really made my eyes look badass. I think I'll throw the pictures I like up on my photography blog as well so you can look at them there if you feel like it, otherwise I hope you have a lovely Monday! x

Friday Morning Inspiration

Good Morning, Here's a Video

I don't know if I hope you can see this but if you can, I'm just gonna explain myself a little here. Yesterday morning I had a couple of hours to myself before school so I decided that I wanted to do a "wake up with me" kinda video. Now my camera isn't normally used for filming (which is why I've been experimenting with it a little in the past week) so some of the clips got cut a little short but I'm working on it so I can film some more! Happy Birthday Kate!

Kate Moss is a huge style icon, and an inspiration to millions of girls around the world, personally the pictures of her I love the most are the ones of her in baggy clothes, with thick natural hair and minimal makeup. She just looked so innocent and I just love that about her. In honour of this amazingly beautiful female turning 40 years old today, I figured I would post a picture of her in her honour and for your inspiration, happy birthday Kate! x

My Mom Hates It

For some reason my mom strongly believes that this lovely earring makes me look like I do drugs and ride motorcycles. I have to say I disagree. I got this for Christmas and well, I rarely wear huge earrings despite the fact that I have a whole bunch of them, but I really like this one, I love the simplicity of it and how light it feels in my ear, and its an easy way to look fancy when your hair is thrown up in a messy bun. The earring is from Moss Copenhagen but I sadly can't find it on their webshop anymore so I can't link you :( x

Hairpulling and Headscratching

(I'm sorry I keep using pictures from the same day, I know you've seen a lot of them now and I promise I'll try to take some new ones soon!!) 

Yesterday Sine discretely poked me in the middle of my back and said "do you know your hair comes down to here? .. it's really long.." And well she's not completely off with that observation. Lately a lot of people have been changing their hair. I'm guessing it's a part of the whole "New Year, New Me" idea, which personally I don't really believe in. My hair on the other hand seems to feel that now is the perfect time for a change. My hair has been on a strike and has refused to cooperate since Christmas so now I feel some change is needed. Right now I'm not sure on what needs to be done but I at least want the split ends gone.. Maybe I'll get Sine to cut them if I'm too impatient to wait for next month (impatiency is definitely something you need to factor in when dealing with people like me). I don't know what's gonna happen but if anyone has ideas, feel free to share them with me! x

Inspirational Look of The Week

Lately my style obsession is with Kate Moss. Most people will probably understand completely. Lately I've been obsessed with the both the natural look and the contrast packed look (both looks that Kate masters to perfection). I don't know if I'll ever be bold enough to wear nothing but black lipsick makeup wise but I'm definitely doing my part to try and play more with contrast and with focusing on the natural look regarding eyes and skin. Therefore this picture serves perfectly as my source of inspiration lately and I will probably post more of Kate in the nearest future just cause well.. look at her. x

Improving Your Natural Look

I gotta be honest over the Holidays I haven't been wearing a lot of makeup or nice clothes or anything at all. I mean for Christmas and New Years I got dressed up and did my best to look nice but all the other days I basically just wore my gym clothes and my hair up, even if I was going to the gym or whatever. I think too many products can only lead to allergies or greasy skin so I only use the bare minimum of products to look presentable without makeup or beautytools. I'm not gonna give you a long detailed explanation about every single of these things I'm just gonna say that I think little things like these can really help improve your finished natural look so you dont look like you just rolled out of bed (even though that might exacly be the case). x

Little Things

So, I'm trying this new thing where I don't empty out my bankingaccount every time I go to Copenhagen, and instead try to focus on buying what I actually really want and need (I know, I'm proud of me too). Yesterday, Sine and I went to Copenhagen, and did a little shopping. My lovely mom actually said that she'd give me a calendar from The Body Shop, if I bought it and carried it home myself. I love that calendar, and I can't wait for the 1st of December to start opening it! It was rather big so I didn't take a picture of it for you guys but I decided to focus on the other things I got. Another thing I felt I needed was some brow corrector, the one I got is from Sephora, in medium darkness. I tried it last night and it looks so nice on! It looks very natural and it's easy to work with. At Sephora I also got a lovely perfume sample and I think I might test it over the next few days. I really love samples. The last thing is just a lovely elastic bracelet from & other stories. I just thought it was so simple and nice that I needed to have it. All in all, a pretty great day.

Beauty: Fall Favourites

So this month has been a little strange since I've had my birthday, and I've gotten all this new stuff, and at the
same time the season is changing along with the weather. Considering all this, I figured I would write a lil somethin somethin about what beauty products I use to survive through fall.

Romantic Braid Bun

I am not the most feminine woman in the world. I'll admit that. BUT Yesterday I only had one lesson so I spent about 20 min experimenting with my hair in stead of running around like a headless chicken, which is what I would normally be doing. Even though this is not exactly my signature look, I really like it, and I think something as soft as this would look great with a muscletee or a baseball shirt or anything that gives that little bit of a boyish look. The do is very easy if you ask me, just split the hair into two and do a french braid on each side, then braid the two together and roll the braid up into a bun. For a more special look you can just finish the two braids seperately and roll them up into two little buns, a very fashionable hairstyle I wish i could pull off! (This hairstyle took me about 15-20 min)

3 Tricks for Perfect Hair

Well, since I woke up with perfect hair the other day (that doesn't usually happen), you know, super soft, wavy, not frizzy or snything, perfect hair, then I started thinking "what could have caused this?" and over time I've found that when I do certain things my hair turns out great, so of course, I'm going to share those with you guys!

1. HAIRMASK from Stuhr, has to stay in for about 3 minutes and makes the hair insanely smooth. I usually rinse my hair quickly and apply the hairmask and wait at least 3 minutes before taking a shower and that seems to work really well.

2. CONDITIONER for a dry scalp (from Head & Shoulders), mixed with my normal conditioner is something I use every other time I wash my hair. The conditioner seems to really make my hair relax and makes it less "puffy" than any other conditioners.

3. HAIR OIL is so important in hair like mine, at least in my experience it makes a huge difference, it makes almost all of the frizz disappear. When I use it, after my shower or the morning after, i take a drop or two and spread it out in my palms so i can run my hands down my hair and get it all covered.

I think it's important to remember that I only have myself as a reference for these so I can't speak for anyone else, but these tricks has helped me a lot and I hope they will help some of you too! x

Messy Braid A La NYFW

So my last post was some of the hairstyles that I loved from New York Fashion Week, and one of those were the messy braids (that you can see above). And after learning how to do a fishtailbraid I split my hair into 4 and made 2 messy fishtailbraids and twisted the last 2 pieces of hair, then i twisted a braid in with a twisted piece on each side and then twisted those two pieces into each other. A little complicated, and I would be lying if I said it didn't take a while to make it work but I think the result is so nice and when I have practiced a bit more it'll be a great look for winter. Messy hair is always a hit in my opinion.

Messin' With Cornrows

Heyo, I'm bored, and now I'm messing around with some cornrows. In Denmark at least, its very hyped right now and even though I dont have brown hair and an exotic look, I thought I'd try it out and hey this is the results. My hair still isn't completely free of grey colour but hey it'll wash out whenever. I dont know if I'll braid my hair for school cause well, for starters it would take me like an hour to even do it, but yea, we'll see .. have a great night guys! x

Grey Hair Say Whaaaaat?

So as you might know one of the things I've been obsessed with for a while has been colourful hair and even thought grey may not scream colourful I think its so pretty and really interesting. Lately cornrows has been really popular as well and I think I might experiment with some french braiding in grey hair with some printed tshirts, hmm.. ill share if it turns out well! (btw the hair is made with hairchalk and it will wash out). Have a great friday! x

Megan Fox Inspired Makeup

No, I do not look like Megan Fox in any way at all!, BUT today I've been a little hungover and looking and makeup tutuorials on youtube and one of my favourite beautyvlogs is in my opinion pixiwoo. And they did a Megan Fox inspired tutorial for making small eyes look bigger and I thought I'd test it out. Now I dont have a lot of make up tools (like professional stuff) but I gave it a shot and even though these pictures doesnt really give the best impression I'm sure you guys get the idea.
